Dr. Yeboa has dedicated his career to the to the care of genetic patients, both children and adults, as well as pregnant women concerned with having an abnormal child. He graduated from the University of Ghana Medical school, Accra, Ghana, and completed his pediatric residency training at Harlem Hospital. He completed his fellowship training in Clinical Genetics at New York Presbyterian/ Columbia University Medical Center, department of pediatrics (Babies hospital at that time). He was appointed to the faculty of the department of pediatrics in 1980 and has remained on staff since then. He was the program director for the Clinical Genetics Fellowship Program for over 10 years, and is currently the director of the division of clinical genetics at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Yeboa is board certified in both pediatrics and clinical genetics. He is currently a professor of pediatrics in the department of pediatrics/division of clinical genetics.

He is clinician who has practice actively for over 35 years, and intimately understand his field of clinical genetics. Over that period, many advances have been made in genetics, including the Human genome Project. These advances have now provided the opportunity to help many families that have waited patiently for many years to get proprer genetic diagnoses for their children.

Dr. Yeboa's major expertise is in elucidating the underlying molecular basis for complex, and very often rare genetic disorders. These efforts have resulted in the identification of several previouly undescribed, or inadequtely described genetics syndromes. He is the senior author, or co-author of some of these cases in peer-review journals. Two such cases are the Levy-Yeboa syndrome and Warburton-Anyane-Yeboa syndrome.

Dr. Yeboa is also a genetics consultant to Winthrop University hospital, Mineola, long Island.
